Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 Intercooler Kit

The ETS Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 Intercooler is the best on the market, bar none. It features bolt on installation, eliminates the 2 up pipes to the intercooler, and fills the whole grill with core for a killer look and maximum efficiency. This unit also retains the factory crash bar and splash pans, and with a power rating of 750hp it will take a big turbo before this intercooler becomes a restriction. The kit includes the intercooler, mounting hardware, silicone couplers, and SS T-Bolt Clamps.

The ETS Mitsubishi Evolution 8 Intercooler Piping kit is designed to eliminate many of the unnecessary bends in the stock piping that snakes all around the stock engine bay. Our piping starts off by immediately expanding into 2.5” diameter right off the turbo elbow. This replaces the tiny 1 3/4” factory pipe and instantly frees up 15hp and greatly improves spool up. From here it follows the core support and wraps around to mate up to the intercooler. Once the air passes through the intercooler, the piping takes a short direct path around the core support, and over the transmission, straight up to the throttle body. This unique routing is over 2ft shorter than the stock routing, (improved spool up) and with an 11% increase in cross sectional area, flow is increased as well. The piping also comes with a BOV recirculation kit, that will allow the piping to work with any BOV you may already have. Due to the short route configuration, this piping will require a small battery kit, or the battery must be relocated.

The lower intercooler piping is possibly the biggest restriction in the whole intercooler system on the Mitsubish Lancer Evolution 8. Just by installing this piping you will realize a 15hp increase in power, and reduced lag time on spool up. This piping can be used by its self and allows you to upgrade the hot side piping down the road, so you can plan for the battery relocation, or small battery kit. This piping works with the ETS and Perrin intercoolers.

The main advantage to the ETS Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 upper intercooler piping is reduced lag time due to a reduction of over 2ft in length in piping. This piping starts at the outlet of the intercooler and routes directly over the transmission. This piping will Require a Small Battery Kit, or battery relocation. Aside from the performance aspect of this piping, it really cleans up the engine compartment, for show stopping good looks as well.
