Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8 Intake Kit

The ETS Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8 Intake kit is a great first mod for the EVO. This kit eliminates the restrictive stock rubber intake pipe and filter, and replaces it with a high flowing 3” intake tube, Contoured velocity stack and a High flow filter. From the new filer, the Air enters the Mass Airflow Sensor through a funneled velocity stack which provides a smooth inlet into the sensor. Then as it exits the sensor, it enters the 3” mandrel bent intake pipe which takes it directly to the tubo inlet, where it enters the turbo with a smooth straight shot. It is this smooth inlet to the turbo where this kit makes its power. By eliminating the rubber intake tube, we get rid of the restrictive 90deg bend that causes turbulence right in front of the turbo inlet. With this bend gone and with a large radius 3” inlet the air now has a smooth, direct path into the turbo, which not only increases peak power, but reduces spool up time as well. This kit works with stock and aftermarket piping, and will work with all aftermarket BOV’s that fit the stock intake tube. Typical power gains are 10-20hp depending upon boost level and engine mods.
